2026 Competitive Season Events for Europe will be structured by the following competitions.
- Materia Cup
- Local Qualifier
- Last Chance Qualifier
- European Championship
European Materia Cups 2026
Materia Cup events will run from Mid-May throughout August.
There are eight (8) Materia Cups to be hosted by selected stores, please confirm event formats with the event organisers as we have offered them the ability to run a range of different formats.
The top 1 player (champion) of each Materia Cup will qualify for Grade 2 invite to the World Championship 2026.
The top 4 players of each Materia Cup will qualify for the European Championship 2026.
Any event qualifications at Materia Cups will pass down to the next highest ranked player without said qualification.

6th/7th June: Materia Cup England - The Brotherhood Games
20th/21st June: Materia Cup Italy - Case Dei Giochi
27th/28th June: Materia Cup BeNeLux - Spel En Meer
18th/19th July: Materia Cup France - Atmos Arena, Paris
1st/2nd August: Materia Cup Spain 1 - Estalia Córdoba
22nd/23rd August: Materia Cup Germany - Cardbuddys
3rd/4th October: Materia Cup Scotland - West End Games @ Woodside Hall, Glasgow
TBA: Materia Cup Spain 2

- Opus 28 Dreamlike Ocean Booster Display Box (Materia Cups up to August 1 & 2) OR Opus 29 Blissful Eternity Booster Display Box (Materia Cups on and after August 15 & 16)
Materia Cup 1st Place:
- Materia Cup “Champion” Playmat (please note, playmats for Europe region will state "European 2026 Materia Cup")
- Opus 28 Dreamlike Ocean Premium/Foil Card Complete Set (Materia Cups up to August 1 & 2) OR Opus 29 Blissful Eternity Premium/Foil Card Complete Set (Materia Cups on and after August 15 & 16). These will be supplied in the winners local language, due to previous issues with shipping damage & customs charges, these will be distributed at the European Championship (or World Championship if player is not in attendance at the European Championship)
European Local Qualifiers 2026
Local Qualifiers events are scheduled to run from late May throughout August.
The Local Qualifiers events will consist of a one-day format. Please contact the venue for more details.
The top 1 player of a Local Qualifiers tournament will qualify for European Championship 2026. (Please note, for qualification to be valid, the LQ event must have minimum 8 players participating).
Any event qualifications at Local Qualifiers will be passed down to the next highest ranked players.

European Last Chance Qualifier 2026
The event will take place on 23rd of October 2026 @ La Casa Dei Giochi, Via Sant'Uguzzone 8 - 20126 Milano. Top 16 or 25% of the field (whichever is higher) will qualify for the European Championship 2026.
European Championship 2026
Qualification for this competition will be awarded to the following players:
- From Materia Cups: Top four (4) players of each Materia Cups
- From Local Qualifiers: Top one (1) player of each Local Qualifiers
- From Last Chance Qualifiers: Top 16 or 25% of the field, whichever is higher
- Top performance players from previous 2025 season:
- The 2025 European Champion
- Top 3 European players from 2025 World Championship
This will be a two-day event.
- Day 1: Bo1 Swiss Rounds
- Day 2: Bo3 Double Elimination
The top 4 players of European Championship will qualify for Grade 1 invite to the World Championship 2026.
The event will take place on 23rd to 25th of October 2026 @ La Casa Dei Giochi, Via Sant'Uguzzone 8 - 20126 Milano.
Friday:
- Last Chance Qualifier
- Chaos Sealed (for pre-qualified players)
Saturday:
- European Championship Day 1
- Side Event (for non-qualified players)
Sunday
- European Championship Day 2
- Team Sealed (for players who did not advance to Day 2)
World Championship 2026
World Championship will be held in Japan, December 2026.
Exact dates, location and event details to be announced at later date.
