Thank you for your patience as we put together the details for Square Enix officially provided prize support for this year’s Materia Cup and Store Championship events in North America! As always, please understand that this information is tentative and subject to change, but we will provide updates should any changes or updates arise.

The prior post regarding the Materia Cup schedule announcement [here] will also be updated to reflect relevant information, so please keep it bookmarked.

With that, before diving into each event type’s prize support, we would like to share an update regarding Event promo cards.

2023 EVENT PROMO CARDS

In previous years, these types of Organized Play events would have a Road to World Championship card, distributed somewhat widely if you were able to attend one of the year’s major events. Last year with Reraise events, we had a “2022 Event” promo card players could obtain by participating in one of those events.

We’ve heard many players voice interest in multiple tiers of promo cards, so this year, we will have 4 types of Promo cards printed for major organized play events. This means these cards have the most limited quantities among FFTCG promos we’ve ever printed. We’ll introduce the first three here, with a 4th even rarer card to be revealed by Hobby Japan at a later date, as it will only be distributed at Continental Championships and the World Championship.

• Road to World Championship – Glaciela Wezette [PR-141/17-113L]
• Special Prize Card – Cloud [PR-142/14-065L]

While it isn’t easy to tell from these images. The “Event 2023” Promo will be foil and have a gold stamped name and “Event 2023” text. The “Road to World Championship” Promo will be foil and have a gold stamped name, “Road to World Championship” text, and power. Lastly, the Cloud “Prize Card” will have gold stamped name, CP Cost, Job, Category and Type, along with a special foil pattern.

Store Championship Prizing

Top 2 – Store Championship Playmat & Qualify for North American Championship

1st Place – Store Championship Trophy & Cloud Prize Card (Trophy artwork. Final trophy design not final.)

We will be including additional prize support to stores that may differ per event for giveaways, side events, etc. As always, stores are encouraged to add entry gifts and additional prize support to their event alongside this free prize support.

*Events taking place following the release of “Dawn of Heroes” may feature “Dawn of Heroes” prizing in place of “From Nightmares”. Availability to be determined as we get closer to the release.

We will be including additional prize support to stores that may differ per event for Top 32, giveaways, side events, etc. As always, stores are encouraged to add entry gifts and additional prize support to their event alongside this free prize support.
